Sorry to be the bearer of unwelcome news, but I have just received a telephone call from a beekeeper who tells me that he has seen an Asian hornet in his home apiary this morning.  He is absolutely positive about the sighting and was going to inform the bee inspector when we spoke.

You may all wish to check your bees.

Thank you.
